I am a hopeless romantic at heart. I believe in Valentine's Day. I don't think its just another day or that its a ploy by companies. Its a day of love. Yes I realize that if you are married or have a significant other, that this day should not prove one way or the other how you feel about them because if they are any kind of lover this should all ready be known, however with that being said I think that this day should be celebrated. Its a day where the person that loves you, can spend a little extra time by letting you know. I have a husband and I know that he loves me, but he isn't a mushy kind of guy. He doesn't spend his days saying sweet nothings to me day after day. He doesn't send me cards just because he was standing in a card aisle and seen one that he just couldn't live without. He doesn't buy me chocolates just because he knows they are my favorite and I have a love love relationship with chocolate. He doesn't send me flowers just because he knows that I love flowers. So on this day, once a year I expect all of these things. I don't want to have to tell him he should know if he knows me at all. I think of Valentine's Day in advance. I all ready have a plan in place before the day gets here.
There have been times when there wasn't enough money to do exactly what I wanted to do for him. That is where creativity comes in to play. You don't have to spend a fortune proving your love on this day, its the small things that matter. Like putting a love letter in his lunch that he will read during lunch that he didn't know was there. You could hand make his card this year instead of buying one. You could bake his favorite dessert. There are tons of ways. I do believe that women in relationships should also make it special for their guys. This year for my husband I did boudoir pictures. It was a hit I recommend this for every lady. Men are visual beings and this will definitely rock their world. So far my husband bought me a huge box of chocolates but I am expecting more than this. Its a shame. I have been known to be a bit spoiled. Sorry if this disappoints some of you. I just think on Valentine's Day you should never drop the ball. Its the day of love for a reason. Take the time to take the extra step to show your love. That's all I'm sayin'
